Gingrich and Romney, head to head for the GOP race.

!Por la Revolución de las Ideas!

After following several debates and analyzing all the candidates, there’s no doubt Gingrich and Romney are the front runners of this campaign. This is not the result of debating ideas or issues that matter, it’s the result of going after the other candidate with negative ads and who has had the most money to try move forward in winning the GOP nomination. I haven’t seen any ideas being debated and no candidate except Ron Paul has really spoken on the issues that matter. Although Paul’s ideas might be a little crazy for some, he is on the right track on a lot of issues and he has brought attention to matters that some had forgotten. The ironic thing is how the media tries to ignore him even though they shouldn’t do this since it’s not playing fair. I guess his ideas seem to annoy some who think that the United States is being run the right way.

I have been surprised by how many in the media and the Republican Party have participated in trying to destroy Gingrich. Newt may have had some issues in the past, but he seems to be a serious candidate and someone with experience to be standing there trying to achieve the GOP nomination. When I see many commentators on CNN and Fox just blast him over really ridiculous issues, I really understand why The United States has fallen behind so much. Instead of debating ideas and trying to get the public to decide on the best ideas and proposals by the candidates, the media has concentrated its efforts on getting the candidates to discuss personal issues because in the end that is what sells and generates ratings. I personally believe that if the media made an effort to draw the candidates’ attention to the real issues and avoided them from attacking each other on the personal level, then the campaign would have some class and deciding who the GOP nominee is, would be much easier.

It seems as if many are playing a game in which everyone knows who will be the winner, and that is not a political race, it’s a joke. I think that Romney has blasted the Latino community blaming it for America’s downfall, and now that he realizes that he needs the Latino vote, he begins to soften his speech against this community. It’s ironic and makes him a clear opportunist. The Latino community knows better than to support a candidate whose views are clearly against Latinos and that are closer to a fascist regime. Romney, for some seems to be the right candidate, but once he is against President Obama, he will lose due to the fact that he is not credible down the line and that will make him a very easy target for the President. If Romney wants to be a credible candidate, he will have to start debating ideas; otherwise he doesn’t stand a chance against the President.

Newt Gingrich, on the other hand tried to run a decent campaign without negative ads and hatred. He tried to debate ideas but wasn’t successful due to the fact that the media gave more attention to the attacks done by Romney against Newt than the real issues. I believe it is pathetic that what sells on a campaign is the hatred speech and not ideas. I believe strongly in Ideas and that’s why I am the creator of the revolution of Ideas, but in this GOP race all I have seen is hatred and personal attacks. Newt seems to be on the right track, and I hope that he is eventually nominated for the good of his voters and those who live In America and want to change the current President. Newt is a moderate conservative that has proven he can do the job despite what some in his party think, and some journalists who have gotten on the hatred wagon and blasted Newt to favor Romney. Ideas should be the main concern of the media and Newt has tried to debate them, but unfortunately his Counterpart Romney has concentrated his efforts in destroying Newt instead of showing his proposals to govern the United States.

President Obama will not be easy to defeat. Many people LaTribunacolus has spoken to have expressed the fact that the GOP race is a joke and that is filled with hatred, personal attacks, Race hate, and no debate of the issues that matter, so many have decided to vote for President Obama due to the fact that the Republicans talk too much and do nothing to help solve the nation’s problems. All the people see is how they have blocked every bill the President has sent for their approval, and that in my opinion will back fire against Republicans and will favor the President.  Newt and Romney continue head to head, but maybe if they don’t start debating ideas they will go head to head to losing against President Obama.

Finally, I hope the media becomes less partial and helps in making debates more democratic. Ignoring Ron Paul should not continue to be admitted.  Giving more attention to the candidates programs it’s the way to go. It is important to ask the candidates how they plan to create Jobs, fix the economy, Tax reform, Medicare, Immigration Reform and other critical issues and not accept kinder garden answers, demand answers that satisfy those who will vote and decide who will be the Nominee. That should be the roll of the media.

Let’s hope the following debates are more about ideas than hatred.
